Washburn has been fortunate the past few years to have MN Reading Corps tutors working with our students. MN Reading Corp tutors are trained AmeriCorps members who will work with students needing a boost to catch up to grade level in reading. This evidence based program experiences strong growth in students served each year, and last year served over 30,000 Minnesota students in schools throughout the state.
Reading Corp tutors work one-on-one or with small groups of preschool or elementary students during the school day to build reading skills.
AmeriCorps is looking for full-time and part-time tutors to commit to one year of AmeriCorps service, beginning in August, 2015. If you or someone you know would like to learn more or apply visit www.MinnesotaReadingCorps.org

We have created a webpage to give parents some ideas to help their child develop a better sleep routine.
It is estimated that more than 60% of infants, children and teens have problems with sleeping. A lack of sleep impacts emotions, bodily functions, attention, focus and performance and social situations.
