Washburn Science Fair

The 2018 Washburn Science Fair for grades 3-5 will take place on April 10.  Stay tuned for updates about the 2018 Science Fair.

Students in grades 3-5 have an opportunity to create and submit Science projects this year.  

To participate, follow 3 simple steps:
  1. Complete the registration form (English) (Spanish)
  2. Get your free display board and gather your materials. Have fun creating your project and bring it to school by 
  3. Come with your family and friends to the Science Fair on April 10, 6:30-­7:30 pm in the Washburn gym.

If you're not sure what to do, ask your teacher, Mrs. Carver, Mrs. MacPhail, or Mrs. Christensen, and they will help you get started. We'll offer individual or group coaching and help with projects along the way.  
Key Dates
  • March 6 : registration forms due
  • March-April: coaching and support, gather materials, work on project
  • April 6 : Project displays/materials due
  • April 10: Science Fair from 6:30-­7:30pm. All students, family and teachers are welcome.
Why Participate?
The Washburn Science Fair is a great way for you to have fun with your friends while learning about biology, chemistry, our natural environment, and more.  You can create something fun, test out a hypothesis, and learn something new and cool. Try out an individual or group project.  
Top 5 finishers by grade will be eligible for a prize.
