Back-to-school information in the Hub

Parents and students: Complete these steps to ensure you're prepared for the year ahead!

1. Attend your back-to-school open house.

Students, parents and guardians are encouraged to attend back-to-school open house events. Click here to view the full schedule, and check your school website for more information.

2. Check student information on the Hub.

One of our most important communication channels, the Hub, is a password-protected website for parents and guardians that allows easy access to important student-specific information. Your student’s 2017-18 bus information, lunch PIN and locker number and combination if they have one are available now on the Hub.

Parents will receive another email on Aug. 16, when 2017-18 school year class schedule and teacher information is available in the Hub.

Personalized Hub usernames and passwords were emailed to parents on Aug. 1 and will be sent again in August. Please keep your password in a secure location and do not share with any other users.

Hub Help
Log in to the Hub by visiting bloomingtonschools.org/hub. More information can be found at bloomingtonschools.org/parents-hub. Media directors will be available at each school’s back-to-school event to provide Hub and Infinite Campus support.

If you have questions or need additional help, please contact the district’s Tech Center at 952-681-6456 or techcenter@isd271.org. During the school year, contact your school’s media director for Hub support.

3. If eligible, fill out the Educational Benefits for Free and Reduced-priced Meals application at bloomingtonschools.org/food.

Free and reduced-price meal applications are also available in the Hub. Paper applications will not be mailed to families.

4. Update student and family information on Infinite Campus.

All parents and guardians should update their information and emergency contacts by following the instructions on the front page of Infinite Campus. To start, log in at www.bloomingtonschools.org/CampusPortal using your Hub username and password.

5. Take advantage of education expenses tax relief programs.

Lastly, we encourage families to take advantage of two Minnesota tax relief programs for families with children in kindergarten through 12th grade: the K-12 Education Subtraction, and the K-12 Education Credit. Both programs help lower taxes and may provide a larger refund. Find all the details on this MN Department of Revenue page.

We look forward to welcoming students back to school soon!
